Transformers Takes Over The Box Office

No Shia LaBeouf? No Problem!

Transformers: Age of Extinction brought in the biggest opening weekend of 2014, with an estimated 100 millions dollars at the box office.

The fourth take in the Transformers series, once again directed by Michael Bay, didn’t have any problem with a reboot. This is the second highest grossing opening weekend for the franchise, with Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen that took in 108+ million dollars back in 2009.

The action movie continues after the attack that occurred in Chicago during Transformers: Dark Of The Moon. Mark Wahlberg who took over the lead role, plays a mechanic alongside daughter, played by Nicola Peltz. This is one, if not the biggest project Peltz has worked on, whose father is billionaire businessman Nelson Peltz and her mother is model Claudia Heffner. She also starred in Avatar: The Last Airbender as Katara, and in the popular series Bates Motel.

USA Today reported quotes from the cast and more about the plot in May, and the post also includes a photo gallery from the film.

I am excited to go see the movie for myself soon, but Shia LaBeouf may wait to see the movie himself as he was arrested this past weekend. I’m not sure bumblebee will be able to help his old friend in that situation…
