Chris Brown’s Upcoming Album

The reportedly recently single singer released cover art for his upcoming album “X”, set to release on September 16th. This will be his sixth studio album.

The R&B singer told MTV the inspiration for the album name back in March of 2013 saying, “The song and the album title ‘X’ has a couple different meanings. It can refer to an ex-girlfriend, in terms of you always look forward to moving forward from. It’s also about being a reject in a sense. In me being myself, being able to grow up, me not always hanging around the right crowd or doing the right thing all the time — it’s me saying, ‘I’m over it. I’m past the bullsh– now.’ “.

The album’s title isn’t the most original, with Ed Sheeran dropping an album this past June with the same name. This isn’t the first time two singers released albums with similar titles. In 2012 Taylor Swift and Ne-yo both released albums in October with a common name.

According to Wikipedia (the most reliable site ever), “In September 2013, Brown stated that X will be a double disc album, with ten songs on each disc.” If that so then these twenty recorded songs will most likely be what will be on the upcoming album. Five singles from the anticipated album have already been released, with the most recent being “New Flame”.
